10 Questions • One Life • Fresh Daily Challenge
One Mistake and You're Out turns ordinary trivia into a compact knowledge-survival challenge. You can face up to ten questions in a run, but there is no safety net: your first incorrect answer ends the official challenge immediately. A correct answer moves you forward, while a mistake reveals the correct response and a short explanation before your result is recorded.
The questions cover a broad mix of knowledge rather than a single subject. A run can move from geography to history, science, literature, mathematics, technology, the arts, astronomy, biology, landmarks, and mythology. The early questions are designed to be approachable, then the difficulty rises as you move closer to Question 10. That final step receives a subtle Final Survival Question treatment because reaching it means you have already survived nine questions without a mistake.
Most quizzes encourage rapid guessing because a wrong answer only costs a point. This format changes the incentive. With one official life, it can be worth slowing down, reading every word, eliminating weak choices, and deciding only when you are comfortable with your reasoning. The goal is not to punish mistakes; it is to make each decision feel meaningful.
Your first completed attempt is saved in your own browser for the local calendar day. Refreshing the page after the run is over does not replace that official result. If practice mode is available after the challenge, you can play again for learning and fun, but practice never changes the saved daily score, streak, or statistics from your first official run.
The built-in library contains 1,000 questions. Topics include capitals and countries, world history, chemistry, the human body, plant biology, arithmetic, algebra, probability, literature, visual art, classical music, film, computing, inventions, astronomy, geology, famous landmarks, and mythology. Questions are written with four answer choices and only one intended correct response.
The library favors evergreen knowledge rather than temporary headlines, current officeholders, prices, rankings, or other facts that can change quickly. That makes the challenge useful as a long-term learning game instead of a quiz that becomes obsolete after a news cycle.
A different ten-question set is selected automatically from the large built-in library according to the visitor's local calendar day. Refreshing during the same day keeps the same official questions and the same answer-choice order. The internal rotation is deliberately hidden from the game interface, so the experience simply feels like a fresh daily survival challenge rather than a visible countdown or season.
After the full question rotation has been used, the factual questions return automatically in a new cycle. Their answer positions are deterministically reshuffled so later rotations do not simply reproduce the same button layout. The underlying facts remain unchanged.
A survival game can be tense without being discouraging. Every question includes a concise explanation. If you make a mistake, the game clearly shows the correct answer and explains the fact before moving to the result card. A low score therefore still produces something useful: one memorable piece of knowledge you can carry into the next challenge.
The spoiler-free sharing tool reports only how far you survived using a simple grid. It never reveals answers or the hidden question-set number. Your local statistics—such as challenges played, best run, perfect runs, and daily streak—stay in your own browser and are not presented as community-wide data.
